David(Fergie)as everybody knew him as,was a very much loved son,brother to Karen and Iain,and dear uncle of Craig and Jordan,also a friend to his brother-in law Ritchie.David was a fun loving character who always liked a laugh.He was a good footall player and loved going to see his team Glasgow Rangers playing and had travelled all over to see them in action.He taught his nephews a few tricks at football, and always acted a teenager around them at this time.He liked to put his coupon on every Saturday,a pint with his pals and a game of snooker.He was a charmer with the ladies and had the gift of the gab,full of fun and the lovliest of blue eyes.In my eyes he was a looker and I miss him every minute of every day,we all do. Life is not the same without him and it wont be ever...I remeber the morning my son David was born,even after 41yrs. David was my second child and his was an easy birth,I think the reason for this was because there was only 11months between him and his older sister Karen.Seventeen months later their brother Iain came along unexpectedly,but very much wanted. At that time I was only twenty and had three children to care for. I wont pretend it was easy,but I was used to children because I was the oldest of ten kids and was used to caring for my siblings regularly. David was a good baby and when he was born I was told to keep an eye on him in the hospital to watch if out if he wet blue,he never did then ,but he made up for that when he was older because he was a true bluenose.He was a chubby lovely baby,but wasn't a good all night sleeper which wakened his sister up when he wanted fed,but that all changed when his brother came along because he slept all night and David went into that same pattern.So peaceful nights were had for me and there Dad Billy.David was never a problem to us while he was growing up,only usual boys stuff,like me catching him smoking when he was 11 then sending him for a packet of cigarettes and making him smoe the lot thinking that would make stop..... did it heck. He loved football and when he was at ChyrnsidePrimary he was the smallest out of the football team and he was the goalkeeper,but he loved it plus he grew up to be 5ft 11 and a handsome hunk.Karen was always protective of her two brothers,but David was very protective of karen.They wre very close,I think because there was not a big age gap between them,they often said they were twins because David's birthday was in May and Karen's was in June so for one month they were the same age.
